This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #EmbraceEquity, which encourages everyone to respect all people regardless of gender to create a more inclusive world. While gender equality refers to a group of people, equity recognises that each person has a different circumstance, and the aim is to focus resources and opportunity on their needs to reach an equal outcome – Equality is giving everyone a t-shirt.
