We have 2 different types of surge:

These are then broken down into building types.
- Homes or Single-Phase properties – 2P
- Commercial / Industrial or 3-Phase properties – 4P
Next is the level of protection needed.
- Ultimate Protection – 25/40KA – Recommended by insurance companies and complies with EU-wide regulations.
- Lower protection available at 15 KA – Cost-effective and can handle the UK’s intensive lighting.
Standard eco-max Surge Products
Type 1 – Permanently connected, designed to be installed between the service transformer station and the line, as well as on the load side or meters.
Type 2 – Permanently connected, to the service load side, in distribution panels.
