We are thrilled to share a heartwarming update that highlights our commitment to community welfare and social responsibility. Our Managing Director Sarah Cramer and Financial Director Lauren Cramer recently took a significant step in advocating for an important cause by participating in the Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign organised by the esteemed Rotherham Trust Hospital.
World Breastfeeding Week, observed annually on the first week of August, focuses on raising awareness about the positive health outcomes of breastfeeding while emphasising the need to support mothers in their breastfeeding choices. This year’s theme, “Enabling Breastfeeding: Empowering Working Parents,” highlights workplace challenges as a significant reason for women discontinuing breastfeeding earlier than recommended. The objectives of this campaign include shedding light on working parents’ perspectives, advocating for optimal paid leave and workplace support, fostering collaboration, and driving action to improve conditions and assistance for breastfeeding in the workplace.
At GWE, we have always believed in the power of collective efforts to drive positive change. Our directors’ active involvement in this campaign serves as a shining example of our dedication to making a difference beyond the business realms. Breastfeeding is not just about nourishment; it’s a profound bond that nurtures both infants and mothers, fostering health and emotional well-being.
The decision of our Managing Director and Financial Director to participate in this campaign wasn’t merely symbolic—it was a genuine display of their endorsement of a cause close to our hearts. By having their pictures taken as part of the campaign, they are using their platform to amplify the importance of breastfeeding and the support required for new mothers on their nurturing journey. GWE stands proud of our leaders who are not just steering our company’s success but are also advocating for critical societal issues.
As we move forward, let’s celebrate the accomplishments of our directors and use their inspiring example as a catalyst for our continued engagement in impactful initiatives.
Join us in recognising their dedication and sharing in the joy of their contribution to the Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign.
